
JASON PATE
Jason Pate leads new product at Plaid, a financial technology company that allows consumers to connect their bank accounts to applications like Venmo, Coinbase, Robinhood, Betterment, and more. Plaid has helped tens of millions of people in North America take control of their financial lives. With 10 years of experience driving strategy, business operations, growth, and technology innovation in industries ripe for disruption, Jason is energized to support Plaid’s mission of powering innovation in financial services. Prior to Plaid, Jason served as VP of Corporate Strategy & Development at Rubicon Global, a $1B-company using tech to disrupt the waste and recycling industry. Before that, he co-founded and led growth and technology innovation for a multi-unit restaurant concept, Tava Kitchen, which was acquired in 2016. Jason started his career as an analyst in the Financial Services Group at Goldman Sachs, followed by several years in business strategy consulting at Bain & Company. He is a proud alum of Duke University, where he graduated with highest honors in Economics and Public Policy. Outside of work, Jason is an active member of the Coca-Cola Scholars family, and is thrilled to be at his third CCSF Leadership Summit. He also serves as an advisor to Bay Area startups from Plug and Play and YC incubators. Jason lives in San Francisco and is proud to share the city (and the Coca-Cola Family) with his brother Austin (a 2007 Scholar), his wife Deanna (a former Coca-Cola employee), and looks forward to welcoming his 4-month-old niece, Quinn Klein, to the Scholars family in about 18 years.
