The Alchemy of Happiness in the Workplace
Dr. Che Miller is a general and vascular surgeon in Southwestern Oklahoma. His influence reaches far beyond the operating room, as President of The Surgical Institute at True North and Vice-Chairman of the Board at Duncan Regional Hospital. A 1994 Coca-Cola Scholar and proud University of Oklahoma alumnus, Dr. Miller’s journey of excellence continued with surgical training at the same institution. Now, he thrives in the rural health system of southwestern Oklahoma.
A true luminary in medicine, he’s an award-winning student, teacher, presenter, and exceptional surgeon. Beyond medicine, he shines as a respected community leader and philanthropist. Leading by example, he served as president of his medical school class, resident student body, and state medical society resident section. He was elected twice as house speaker for the AMA resident section. In 2021, he pursued a new adventure, obtaining a Master’s in Healthcare Management from Harvard University. His research interests span Hospitality in Medicine, Happiness in the Workplace, Rural Surgery, and Trauma Surgery.
Dr. Miller’s heart overflows with compassion and generosity, evident in his founding roles in three non-profit community organizations: The Children’s Montage, The Surgical Extraction Team Foundation, and The Beautiful Day Foundation. Alongside his loving wife, Leah Callicoat, Dr. Miller cherishes parenthood with their wonderful daughters, Ava (16) and Ruby (13). Together, they enjoy thrilling adventures, athletics, and treasured moments with friends.
