
LESLEY WAINWRIGHT
Lesley Wainwright is senior vice president and associate general counsel for Turner Content Distribution (TCD), the domestic distribution arm of Turner. In this position, she is responsible for leading the legal and business affairs team in connection with Turner’s multi-platform distribution agreements for Turner’s ten domestic linear networks and on-demand branded content to all traditional and emerging distribution partners throughout the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Lesley has been with Turner since 2005, and prior to joining TCD, she served as assistant general counsel and led the legal department’s program acquisitions practice group, as well as the digital rights and copyright registrations teams. Before Turner, Lesley was an associate within the private equity practice group at King & Spalding LLP.
Lesley is actively involved in the Atlanta community through her service on the Atlanta Community Food Bank’s Board of Directors, where she served as corporate secretary, chair of the board’s governance committee and member of the board’s executive committee. She also has served in a variety of roles for Fernbank Museum of Natural History for over 15 years, most recently as a member of the Board of Trustees and Corporate Leadership Council. Lesley also is a co-founder and former member of the Alumni Advisory Board of the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation, and a member of the 2005 L.E.A.D. Atlanta Class of Leadership Atlanta. She earned a juris doctor degree from Emory University School of Law and a bachelor of science degree in accounting from the University of Kentucky. She lives in Atlanta with her husband and two children.
